Friends of the Rouge Watershed - Rouge Park Presentation

One of the ideas that the Eco Club proposed, was to do some tree planting with the Friends of the Rouge Watershed. Rouge Valley students had participated in the tree planting program before, but not in the last few years. In the intervening years, the Canadian government had declared its intention to turn the area into the "Rouge National Park". Rouge Valley students can take pride in the fact that they contributed to building a national park!

The Friends of the Rouge Watershed came to Rouge Valley and made a presentation to the students. They discussed: environmental awareness on a global level as well as what students could do to help the environment at a local level.
